CHICOPEE, MA-- Marie G. (Warner) Stevens, 73, of 101 Marten Street, Chicopee, MA, died Monday in the Holyoke Soldiers Home.

A mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10 am Thursday, in St. Anne's Church in Fairview.

Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery in South Hadley under the direction of Phaneuf-Blais Funeral Chapel in Chicopee.

She was born in Cleveland, OH, and was a resident of South Hadley, MA, before moving to Chicopee in 1965. Stevens was a former communicant of St. Mary's Church in Williamansett, MA, and a former member of the Ladies Sodality Guild of the church, a former member of the Parish Visitation Committee, former Assistant to the Director of the Parish Confraternity of Christian Doctrine Classes and a former volunteer for the Meals on Wheels of the church. She was a communicant of St. Annes Church in Fairview and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include her husband Frederick J. Stevens, formerly of Sapulpa and brother to Virginia Wolfe; son, Jeffry M. Stevens of Aldenville, MA; daughters, Kathy M. Stevens, of Bremerton, WA, Sharon A. Stevens of Holyoke, MA, Janet L. Stevens-Nolan of Buckland, MA, and Lisa C. Beard of Springfield, MA; brother, William Wagner of Solon, OH; sister, Dorothy Stothard of Olmstead, OH; and six grandchildren.
