STOBAUGH, Elbert

Elbert O. Stobaugh, 73, Route 3, died Tuesday at Muskogee Regional Hospital in
Muskogee.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday at First Baptist Church, Kiefer,
with the Rev. Rex Hecox officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial
Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.
Mr. Stobaugh was born Nov 26, 1917, in Avant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of
World War II and earned a Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. He married Dessie
Mae Rose June 30, 1945, in Okmulgee. He worked as a self-employed carpenter
most of his life. Mr. Stobaugh was a member of the Sapulpa Veterans of Foreign
Wars post and the First Baptist Church of Kiefer.
Survivors include sons Charles Stobaugh and Rickey Stobaugh, both of Kiefer, and
Donald Stobaugh of Sapulpa; sisters Marvell Wilson of Broken Arrow and Helen
Davidson and Ruby Ferguson, both of Salina; five grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
The family will headquarter at the Charles Stobaugh residence.
The family has requested no visitation of Mr. Stobaugh’s remains.
