Mr. Roosevelt Strain, 66, Kellyville, died Thursday at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa.

Services will be 10:30 am Saturday at Owen Funeral Chapel with Tommy Williams officiating.

Burial will be at Kellyville Cemetery.

Mr. Strain born March 21, 1921, in Sapulpa. He was a retired pipeline worker and member of the Local #798 Pipeline Union in Tulsa.

Burial followed with full military rites at Kellyville Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Serving as casket bearers were members of the Sapulpa Veterans Association.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1320 in Sapulpa.

Mr. Strain lived in the Sapulpa area most of his life.

Survivors include wife Nettie; son Lewie of California; daughters Rozena Frien and Vickie Bruton, both of Sapulpa; step-sons Leon Spears of Bristow, Melvin Ray Spears of Sapulpa, Charles Spears of Leonard, OK, Olen Ray Spears of Jacksonville, NC, Ronnie Lynn Spears of Maysville, NC, and Don Spears and Tommy Spears, both of Kellyville; sister Rachael McCall of Sapulpa; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
