Final Sweeney Rites Are Held

A great throng attended the funeral services at the First Christian Church yesterday afternoon for Dr. Roy M. Sweeney who died at a Tulsa hospital Friday morning. The services were in charge of the pastor, Rev. J W. McKinney, assisted by Rev. P. J. Conwright of the First Baptist Church and Rev. C. D. Todd of the First Presbyterian Church. A profusion of flowers was mute evidence of the esteem in which the doctor was held.

Following the services at the church the body was take to Southern (sic) Heights for burial under the direction of the Lewis and Landrith Funeral Home.

Many physicians from Tulsa and Bristow, as well as scores of other friends from other places attended the services. In spite of the fact that rain was falling as the services ended at the church a very large crowd went to the cemetery.
