Clovis, New Mexico – Graveside services for Edwin W. Tatum, 80 of Clovis and formerly of Sapulpa, were Tuesday at Lawn Haven Cemetery in Clovis with the Rev. William McReynolds officiating.

A Sapulpa resident for 25 years before moving to Clovis, Mr. Tatum died Sunday in Clovis. He was born on August 6, 1907 in Muskogee, Indian Territory, and retired from Safeway in 1968 after serving as store manager.

He was a member of Sapulpa’s First Presbyterian Church, past president of the Sapulpa Kiwanis Club and a member of the Sooner Touchdown Club. He also was a longtime supporter of the University of Oklahoma football program.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen of Clovis; son Edwin B. of Clovis; daughter Sally Scott of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Ethel Campbell, Maude Owen and Mary Edna deGroot, all of Muskogee; two grandsons.
