Bristow – Former Sapulpa resident Gus Devoe Taylor, 81, Bristow, died Friday at Bristow Memorial Hospital.

Services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Bristow with the Rev. Pat Sutherlin officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at South Heights Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home, Bristow.

Mr. Taylor was born October 19, 1907 in Jasper, Arkansas, and served as a flight instructor in Stillwater and California during World War II.

Survivors include wife Jackie of the home; daughters Jan Johnson and Judith Wilson, both of Bristow; sister Gracie Sellers of Sapulpa; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
