THOMPSON, Annie

Mrs. Annie Thompson, age 71, widow of the late R. B. Thompson, prominent attorney of this city, died at the city hospital shortly after 10 o'clock this morning. She had been in declining health for the past few years.

Mrs. Thompson was removed to the city hospital a week ago. She has grown gradually worse since an operation last April.

Surviving are her sister, Mrs. Ella SMITH of the home place on South Main street, her nephew Frank SMITH, and two great nephews Bennie and Sonny BAKER of the Thompson home place. A niece and former Sapulpan, Mary Smith BAKER, of Los Angeles, Calif., also survives.

Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. D. A. WELCH and one brother, Rep. J. E. DeFORD of Savannah, Tenn., a stepson, Frank THOMPSON, resides in Virginia.

Mrs. Welch and her husband, Rep. DeFord and Mr. and Mrs. R. D. DeFord of Savannah, arrived here over the week-end.

Mrs. Thompson was born at Savannah, Tenn. She came to Sapulpa with Thompson in 1905 shortly after their marriage and were the first couple to take a suite of rooms in the new St. James hotel.

Thompson came to Sapulpa from Ponca City after severing partnership with the late Henry McGraw, president of the Gipsy Oil company.

The Thompson residence, one of the show places of this city 15 years ago was built in 1923.

Funeral services will be held at four o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the home on South Main. Dr. P. J. Conkwright will conduct the services. The pall bearers will be E. R. Unger, Dr. B. C. Schwab, B. C. Burnett, T. L. Blakemore, Ed Ellinghausen and Bert Russell.

Dr. P. J. Conkwright officiated at the services with Lewis and Landrith, funeral directors in charge.

Interment was made in South Heights Cemetery.

Honorary pall bearers not included in the list yesterday were Olen HARRIS, Lew WILDER, Guy BERRY, W. V. PRYOR, E. R. UNGER and O. M. IRELAN.
