Ivy Rosalie Thompson, 97, died Saturday at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services were Tuesday at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Tulsa.

Burial was at Woodland Cemetery, Sand Springs, under the direction of Ninde Funeral Home, Tulsa.

Casket bearers were Mrs. Thompson’s grandsons Jim Thompson, Larry Willits, Steve Thompson, Jeff Cooper, Steve Collins and Brad Mears.

She was born Feb 27, 1893, in Blossom Prairie, TX, and moved to Tulsa in 1945. Mrs. Thompson was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church for 45 years and a employee of Hillcrest Medical Center for 19 years before retirement.

She was preceded in death by daughters Hilda Whatley, Rosalie Cooper and Joann Mears, son Bill Thompson and great-grandson David Collins.

Survivors include daughters Dolores “Emy” Willits of Tulsa and Beverly Collins of Drumright; sons C. B. Thompson of California, Hugh Thompson of Texas and Harry Thompson of Pennsylvania; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
