Nelson Thoos, 72, of Sapulpa, died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. David Houchin and Alvin Hedin officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Thoos was born September 1, 1919, in St. Joseph, Missouri and was a Sapulpa resident most of his life. He married Nadine Bullock on April 20, 1946 in Sapulpa.

Mr. Thoos was retired from Tulsa Tobacco Company, was a member of First Baptist Church, an avid bowler and an active member of Sapulpa Senior Citizens.

He was preceded in death by brother Richard Thoos.

Survivors include wife, Nadine; daughters Mrs. Ernest (Nancy Jean) Spradlin of New Orleans, Louisiana, Mrs. Dennis (Barbara Gayle) Tiemeier of Lake Jackson, Texas and Mrs. Larry (Patricia Ann) Wolfe of Victorville, California; stepbrother Paul Cooper of Tulsa; stepsister Mrs. J.W. (Alice) Bledsoe of Boise, Idaho and five grandchildren.

Casketbearers were Jim Summers, Ken Rentz, Don Cross, Dwight Maulding, Jack Hall, J.C. Hunt, Charles Robertson and Lloyd Neal.
