Bessie Thornton, 83, Sapulpa, died Saturday at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home.

Services are scheduled for 1 pm Friday at Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Luis Torres officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Jan 19, 1906, in Chilicothe, Texas, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include sons Melvin Miller of Oklahoma City and Joe Miller of Temple, Texas; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the home of Larry Roberts, 4816 N. Walnut Drive.
