Lowell Clyde Tomberlin of Sapulpa died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at the age of 89.

Mr. Tomberlin was born July 25, 1912, in Atwood to Raymond and Velma Tomberlin. He moved from Strong City to Sapulap in 1938, married Dixie Phipps in Sapulpa in 1941 and retired after 37 years as a salesman for Wickham Packing Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one son, Earl Tomberlin.

Survivors are his daughters Cheryl Gillette of Sapulpa and Marsha Fillmore of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers, Bill Tomberlin of Alva, Leon Tomberlin of Marbel Falls, Texas, Robert Tomberlin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Gerald Tomberlin of Sayre; sister, Letha Archer of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Tomberlin were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2002 at the Church of Christ with Rev. Jim O'Conner officiating.

Pallbearers were Brian Fillmore, David Fillmore, Graig Fillmore, Tre Gillette and Keith Gillette.

Owen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
