TURNER, Curtis Franklin

BRISTOW - Mr. Curtis Franklin Turner, 81, of Bristow, died Thursday in a Tulsa
hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday at the First United Methodist Church in
Bristow under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.
Mr. Turner was born in Binger, Indian Territory, and graduated from Drumright
High School.
He was and educator for more than 40 years. Mr. Turner was a teacher and
principal for 39 years and served four years on the Tulsa school board.
At the time of his death, Mr. Turner was president of the Creek County Retired
Teachers Association. He also was a member of the Bristow Noon Lions Club, the
Bristow City Planning Commission and the Bristow First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Helen; daughters Jane Jones of Grove, and Lynn
Grissom of Hollywood, CA; brothers Eugene of Prague, Lawrence of Cushing, and
Covert of Broken Arrow; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends are contributing to the Lions Club Boys Ranch at Perkins.
