Thomas Newton Tye, 86, of Sapulpa, died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services will be 10:30 Tuesday at the Church of Christ with Howard Horton officiating.

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Rob Brogan, Carl Burrus, Gail Hammans, Jim Pinkston, C.B. Teel and Glenn Zumwalt.

Mr. Tye moved to Sapulpa from Vandalia, Ill., in 1945. He married Mary McDaniels Feb 14, 1953, in Van Buren, Ark. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member for 36 years.

Survivors include wife Mary; stepson Ernest McDaniels of Sapulpa; daughter Helen Mauch of Sapulpa; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was a retired employee of the Cities Service Oil Company of Tulsa.
