VAN VELZER FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TODAY

Final rites for Mrs. Catherine Van Velzer, 67, who died Monday night following a recent paralytic stroke and later complications of pneumonia were held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon from the First Christian Church with Rev. E. D. Salkeld assisting. Burial was made in Southern Heights Cemetery.

Mrs. Van Velzer was born at Arlington, Ill., April 16, 1869, and for a period was a school teacher in that state. She was married in 1891 at Sheffield, Ill. She and her husband came to Sapulpa from Florida in 1915.

She is survived by F. A. Van Velzer, husband; one son, Everett V. Van Velzer of Kansas City; two daughters, Eulalia Robards of Okmulgee and Katherine Cummings of Midland, Texas. Lewis and Landrith was in charge of arrangements for the funeral.
