Pearl Ahlborn Varner, 78, 223 E. Ross, died Thursday at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

Services will be 1 pm Saturday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Thiessen and Marvin Francis officiating.

Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 11, 1912, in Lamar, and lived in Sapulpa 43 years. She was a member of South Heights Assembly of God and was employed as a nurse at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center 15 years.

Survivors include son Herman Ahlborn of Lawton; daughters Marie Gilliland of Sapulpa and Barbara Silk of Tulsa; brothers Buford Jones of Hemmett, Calif., Wilburn Jones of Broken Arrow and Howard Jones of Sapulpa; sisters Dorothy Ward and Elva Rowe, both of Tulsa, and Leona Curry of Joplin, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the John Gilliland residence south of Sapulpa.

Services for Pearl Varner, 223 E. Ross, were held Saturday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Revs. Gary Thiessen and Marvin Francis officiating.

Burial was at South Heights Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Charlie Nation, Zeke Miller, Calvin Patterson, Chester VanMeter and Wayne Martin.

Honorary bearers were Mrs. Varner's grandsons.
