Leo John Voegele, 54, rural Sapulpa, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 1995 at St. Francis Hospital.

Rosary services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jim McClenchey officiating. Committal services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Newkirk Cemetery [Kay County].

He was born Sept. 18, 1939 in Ponca City.

He graduated from Newkirk High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for the past 60 years and was a customer service representative. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Voegele, Caldwell, Kans. and Tammy Anderson, Geary; a brother, Jim Voegele, Newkirk; and a grandchild and companion Glenda Haddock.

He was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Atteberry, in 1992, and two brothers, Joseph and John.

Casketbearers were Trevor Odvody, Little Joe Rogers, Tony Pinto, Joe Kime, Darren Hill and Bill Ayers.

Honary casketbearers were Ron Chambers, Jonnis McKee, Cotton Clayton, Chris James, and Bill Jelinek.

Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
