Former Sapulpan Lowell D. Walker, 67, of Topeka, KS, died Thursday at his home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday at the Parker-Price Funeral
Home Mortuary, Topeka.
A graveside military service will be conducted by the Fort Riley Military Detail
at Rochester Cemetery.
He was born Feb 8, 1924, at Creswell, AR, and grew up in Sapulpa, where he
lived until 1943. He married Helen J. Walker on Oct 11, 1943, in Sapulpa.
Mr. Walker was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II, the Korean War and
the Vietnam War, retiring from military service in 1965 after 22 years. He was a
member of the American Legion, Retired Enlisted Association, Eagles and the
Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 1989.
Survivors include daughters Durinda Jean Jacobson and Susan DeLong, both of
Topeka; son Lowell David Walker of Topeka; sister Verna Miller of Joplin, MO; 6
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests any memorials be made to Midland Hospice, 1272 SW Fillmore,

Topeka, KS, 66616.
