Leonard Virgle Wallace, 71, 1957 S. Scott, died Tuesday at the Veterans'
Administration Hospital in Muskogee.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm Saturday at Glenwood Assembly of God
with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow at Beggs Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Wallace was born Sept. 1, 1920, in Okmulgee County. He was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II. He lived in Beggs until 1955, when he moved to Sapulpa.
He married Irene Lee on May 24, 1955, in Beggs. Mr. Wallace retired from Liberty
Glass Company in 1982. He was a member of Glenwood Assembly of God, Disabled
American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Survivors include wife, Irene; sons Daniel Wallace of Sapulpa and Ronald
Wallace of Denver, Colo.; daughters Sharon Freeman of Moore and Brenda Wallace
of Sapulpa; sister Juanita Barbarotto of Sapulpa; brothers John Wallace of
Sapulpa and Charles Wallace of Beggs; and
three grandsons.

A rosary service for Leonard Virgle Wallace will be held at 8 tonight at Smith
Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm Saturday at Glenwood Assembly of God
with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow at Beggs Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Bill Starr, Rayford Wallace, Donald Harrelson, Tim
Wallace, Lonnie Wallace, Carl Wallace, Raymond Wallace and Robert DuPriest.
Honorary bearers will be Gary Wallace, Donnie Harrelson, David Harrelson and
Eddie Harrelson.
