 Thelma A. Webb, daughter of James and Eva (Everheart) Bell, was born in Oilton, Okla. on Nov. 9, 1910 and passed away in Henderson on Oct. 9, 2008, at the age of 97 years and 11 months.

Early in her life, Thelma accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. She grew up in the Methodist church and after moving to Henderson, she joined the First Baptist Church of Henderson.

She was united in marriage with L. P. Bowser and to this union two children were born. L.P. preceded Thelma in death. Later Thelma united in marriage with Lee Webb. Lee also preceded her in death.

For several years Thelma worked as a clerk for a drug store in Oklahoma. In later years, she enjoyed going to the senior citizens center, playing games, making crafts and collecting old coins.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Cobb, and her husband William, of Henderson; one son, Lawrence A. Bowser, of Fort Worth; three grandchildren, Vicki Williams, Corliss Smith and Annette Bowser and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Kerr and Lowell Bell and two grandchildren, William Kelly Cobb and Douglas Bowser.

Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in Rusk County Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Robert Hall, officiating.

Funeral services under the direction of Crawford-Crim-Bryan Funeral Home, 1414 S. Main Street, Henderson, TX 75654.
