Bruno Weers, Sr., 72, 310 W. Taft, died Sunday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 am today, at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating.

Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Full military rites were given by members of the Sapulpa Veterans organizations.

He was born Feb 7, 1920, in Ackley, Iowa, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, moved to Sapulpa from Iowa in 1969 and was employed at Liberty Glass Company before his retirement. Mr. Weers was a Baptist and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include sons, Bruno Weers, Jr., of Sapulpa, and Bruce Weers of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif.; daughter, Karen Coppedge of Atlanta Beach, Fla.; sister, Minnie Hayman of Peyton, Iowa; and three grandchildren.

Serving as casket bearers were members of the Sapulpa Veterans organizations.
