WELCH, Jack

J.D. (Jack) Welch, 81, 424 S. Adams, died Tuesday at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. David Houchin and Alvin Hedin officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Welch was born Aug. 14, 1908, in Connorville, Ark. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he retired from the Pure Oil Company after 43 years of service.

An area resident since 1903, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sapulpa, and the Kiefer Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include wife Irene; daughter Diane McDaniel of Sapulpa; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for J.D. Welch were today at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Alvin Hedin and David Houchin officiating.

Burial was at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Casket bearers were Denny Tyler, Les Lovelace, Don Cross, Preston Stamps, H.M. Bennett Jr. and Ray Schwer.
