Effie Elizabeth White, 96, Tulsa, died Sunday Sep 24, 1995 of heart failure at her home.

Services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Belview Baptist Church, 1040 N. Yale, with the Revs. Overton Washington and Tom Branch officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park, Tulsa, directed by Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home.

She was born July 14, 1899 in Fauke, Ark, to Jake and Ada House Oswald.

She married John Reed in 1913.

She was a homemaker and made quilts. She lived in Tulsa for 48 years.

Survivors include her children, John Reed, Berryhill, Francis Hart, Monte Clara, Calif., Monnie Alexander, Tulsa, A.C. White, Las Vegas, Nev., and Barbara Ann Evans, Sapulpa, Evelyn Pitts, Sapulpa, and Douglas Lynn Roy, Atascandero, Calif; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Grant Evans, Steve Reed, Johnnie Reed, Ben Green, Coy Johnson and Scott Blevins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a husband, George White in 1978, a son, John Alfred Reed, Jr., two daughters, Nell Elizabeth Roy and Tommie Sue King.

The family will headquarter at Belview at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
