TULSA - Effie Mae Williams, 85, Tulsa, died Sunday at her home.

Services will be 2 pm Thursday at First Baptist Church, Sapulpa, with the Rev. David Houchin officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be Tom Sheriff, Archie Sechrest, Rayford Smith, Don Cross, Walter Cale and Jerry Robertson.

She was born Feb 15, 1905, in Fackler County, AL. She married Bufford Williams June 21, 1921, in Checotah, and moved to Sapulpa from Checotah 57 years ago.

She was a former employee of Morton's Department Store and a 55-year member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bufford.

Survivors include daughter Lillie Pennington of Tulsa; sisters Dorothy Crawford of Sapulpa, Bessie Luck of Muskogee, Jessie Dallaire of Tulsa and Lela Roland of Bakersfield, CA; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will headquarter at the Otis Pennington residence.
