Jearle David Williams, 66, died Thursday at the V.A. Center in Claremore.

Funeral services were to be held today at 10 am at the United Pentecostal Church, Sapulpa, with Rev. James Marshall officiating.

Interment was to follow in the Benge Cemetery in Strang, Okla. under the direction of Moore Funeral Home.

Williams was born May 5, 1927 in Tulsa to Prince Albert and Georgia Milsap Williams. He grew up in Tulsa where he received his education. After attending the Eugene Field School, he joined the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion.

He married Helen Audra Edward on Jan. 30, 1948 in Tulsa. He was self-employed as an appliance repairman and upholsterer. He enjoyed church and gospel music, and was a member of the Sapulpa United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include son Jearle D. Williams Jr. of Sapulpa, daughters Joyce Moore of Morgan Hill, Calif., Judy Tinker of Tulsa, Jada Owens of Tulsa, and Trina Ricketson of Sapulpa, sister Carolyn Wyman of Reno, Nev., 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen in May, 1989.

The funeral service for Jearle David Williams, 66, retired upholsterer, will be on Monday, at 10 am at the Sapulpa United Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at Benge Cemetery in Strang, under the direction of Moore Funeral Home, Owasso.
