J. W. WILSON RITES TUESDAY

James Wayne Wilson, 38, a native of Sapulpa, died Saturday night in a Tulsa Hospital following a week's illness. 

Wilson, who worked as an oil well tool dresser, was a former resident of the Sand Springs orphan's home. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War, serving in Germany and Japan. Wilson received the Bronze Star during the Korean War. He recently had been residing with a brother in Sand Springs. 

Survivors include a daughter, Opal Marie, and son, Earl Wayne both of Sapulpa; five brothers, Ernest, 1234 E. Hobson; Lawrence, 1312 E. University; Charles, Broken Arrow; Paul, Sand Springs; and MSgt. G. E. Wilson, Biloxi, Miss. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Violet Fosburg, 1109 E. Cleveland; Miss Pauline Wilson, Tulsa; Mrs. Mae Rush, Stanton, Tex.; and Mrs. Agnes Self, Selma, Calif. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the South Heights Baptist church under direction of Mobley Funeral Home of Sand Springs. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sand Springs.

175 Pints of Blood Used After Surgery (world's own service)

Sand Springs - James Wayne Wilson, 38, a former Sand Springs Home orphan, died Saturday night in a Tulsa hospital after a week of sever internal bleeding. Wilson received the equivalent of 175 pints of blood in a week in his battle for life according to Norman Edman, Tulsa Red Cross official. He had a stomach operation a few months ago. 

He was a native of Sapulpa and worked as an oil field tool dresser. He was a World War II veteran of Germany and Japan and served in the Korean conflict. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service there. 

Surviving are his widow, Opal Marie (sic), a son, Earl Wayne Wilson, Sapulpa; five bothers, including Ernest and Lawrence Wilson, both of Sapulpa, Charles Wilson, Broken Arrow and Paul (Sonny) Wilson, Sand Springs; four sisters, including Mrs. C. L. Fosburg (sic), Sapulpa, and Miss Pauline Wilson, Tulsa. 

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the South Heights Baptist Church in Sapulpa. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, San Springs, directed by the Mobley Funeral Service.
