Charles Joseph Wilson, 49, Tulsa, died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital.

Prayer services will be 7:30 pm Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Little Cussetah Church with the Revs. Willis Knight and Mike Harjo officiating.

Burial will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery in Liberty Mounds.

Mr. Wilson was born March 8, 1941, in Claremore. He had lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Wilson was a well-known Indian artist and a member of the New Town Indian Methodist Church in Okmulgee.

Survivors include sons Freeland Douglas Wilson and Barry Farmer, both of Tulsa, Gregory Wilson of Philadelphia, PA; daughters Sabrina Wilson of CA., Tsianina Wilson of the Middle East, Madana Makhani of Tulsa and Indra Makhani of New York; brothers Douglas Freeman of Sapulpa, Michael Wilson of CA.; sisters Becky Whitetree of Lawrence, KS., Virginia Landeras of Monrovia, CA.; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held today for Charles Joseph Wilson at Little Cussetah Baptist Church with the Revs. Willis Knight, Mike Harjo and Floyd Peters officiating.

Casketbearers were Tommy Cleghorn, Brownie Fowler, Jimmy Neal, Calvin Littlebear, Kenneth Thomas Wilson II and Matthew Wilson.
