J. C. Wood, 53, 506 S. Water, died Tuesday at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday at Smith Funeral Chapel.

Burial is to follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Wood was born Nov 23, 1940, in Arkansas. He had lived in Sapulpa for the past 51 years. He was employed at Webster Engineering in Tulsa as a welding technician. He was married to Carolyn Broomhall on Feb 15, 1958, in Miami, Okla.

Survivors include wife Carolyn of the home, mother Zola Wood of Sapulpa; children Nathan Todd Wood and Victoria Wood Guinn, both of Sapulpa, and Shannon Wood Johnson of New Hampshire; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for J.C. Wood were to be held at 2 p.m. today in the Smith Funeral Chapel with Michael Cummins officiating.

Interment was to follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casket bearers were Jerry Broomhall, Earl Broomhall, Johnny Broomhall, Halbert Channell, Mike Cummins and Matt Bledsoe Honorary bearer was Chris Brown.

Wood, a Sapulpa resident for the past 52 years died Tuesday at his home in Sapulpa.
