Matthew Edward York, of Hillsborough, died Wednesday from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Funeral services were held today at the Hall-Wynne Funeral Home Chapel, Durham, N.C., with the Revs. Johnny Godair and Larry Bowden officiating.

Burial followed at Pleasant Green United Methodist Church Cemetery.

He was born Sep 24, 1974, in Tulsa, and moved to Durham eight years ago. He attended Durham City and County Schools and was employed at Arrowheard B-P in Mebane, N.C. He attended the United Pentecostal Church in Durham.

Survivors include mother and step-father Charles and Marsha Rushing of Durham; father Larry York of Oklahoma; sister Rebekah Rushing of Durham; grandparents Charles and Vera Lee Wilson of Sapulpa; and fiancée Patricia Robinson of Hillsborough.
