Funeral services for Mrs. John W. Young, wife of the Sapulpa Herald editor and publisher, were held this afternoon at the family home at 317 South Water street.

Mrs. Young died early yesterday, following a four week illness. She was brought to her home here on Oct 31 after treatment in a Tulsa hospital.

Besides her husband Mrs. Young is survived by an only sister, Mrs. G. A. Farris of this city. A niece, Mrs. Ben Harrison, of Wetumka was at the home for the services today.

Rev. W.E. White, pastor of the First Baptist church, was in charge of funeral services and burial was made in South Heights cemetery. Landrith funeral home was in charge of arrangement.

Pallbearers at the funeral service today were John Archer, Ed Walker, Ted Olson, Gurt Edgerton, Howard Gillam and Guy Morris.

Mrs. Young, a resident here since 1908, has been active in church work and a host of other organizations.
