Marie Young, 81, of Bristow, died Thursday in Tulsa.

Services were to be held at 11 am today at the Hutchins-Maples Funeral Chapel with Dr. Glenn Plum officiating.

Burial was to follow in the Bristow City Cemetery under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.

Young was born April 13, 1912 in Weleetka and moved to Bristow in 1950. She was married on July 23, 1927 at Okemah to Roy Elwood Young who died May 30, 1992. She was a member of the Assembly of God.

She is survived by son Roy Allan Young of Bristow; daughter Edith Juanita Hailey of Broken Arrow, brother Leroy Ward of Sasakwa, Okla.; sisters Myrtle Faye Williams and Lenora Boujio, both of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtle Ward; sister Beulah Fisher; and brothers George and Bill Ward.
