Brian Scott Best, age 40, was born April 19, 1970 in Tulsa, Okla. He died July 25, 2010 in Sapulpa, Okla.

He was a 1989 Sapulpa High School graduate. He earned his bachelors degree in business with a minor in marketing from Oklahoma State University. He attended Guts Church. He was a member of the Sapulpa Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his mother and step-father Doris and Bruce Hobbs of Sand Springs, Okla.; father Robert Timothy Best of Salina, Okla.; grandparents, Jarrell and Frances Rice of Tulsa; aunts and uncles, Micki and Russell Rice of Tulsa, Betsy and Jarrell Rice of Tulsa, Jeanne and Ronnie Hobbs of Salina, Joy and Mike Stone of Cooper, Texas, Lynn and Jim Hobbs of Okmulgee, Okla., DeLinda and Royce Hobbs of Stillwater, Okla., Rita and Bob Weaver of Henryetta, Okla. and Peggy Longan of Henryetta; and a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Keith Denham; his grandparents, Jim and Helen Denham, and Bob and Lorene Hobbs; and his uncle, Billy Gene Rice.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home - Westwood Chapel in Tulsa, Okla.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at View Acres Baptist Church in Tulsa. Officiating will be the Reverend Chrestin Tomlin and the Reverend Steve Yowell.

Final resting place will be Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Services are under the direction of Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home - Westwood Chapel in Tulsa.
