Lorraine S. (Schrader) Black, Co-owner,
Controller and Secretary/Treasurer of R.K. Black Inc., died
Sunday at her home.
Born July 14, 1917 in Sapulpa OK, the
daughter of Samuel and Alice Schrader. She was a member of Chi
Omega Sorority, past President of OKC Pan-Hellenic, on the
Advisory Board of the Pathways Child Development Corp., and was
a Trustee and past Vice President of the Okla. Museum of Art.
Mrs. Black was a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the
College of the Ozarks and had received an Honorary Doctorate in
Humanities from that institution. She also attended Okla. State
University, Okla. City University, Hill's Business College and
the American Management Assoc. Her church membership was with
the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are her husband, R.K. Black;
sons, Klee and Chris; a sister, Eloise Bagby and 2
grandchildren.
Services Thursday, Feb. 21, 1985 at
11am, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4400 N. Shartel,
interment in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Hahn-Cook/Street &
Draper. The family requests memorial donations be made to the
College Relations Office, College of the Ozarks, Lorraine S.
Black Memorial Scholarship Fund, 415 College Ave., Clarksville
AR, 72830, in lieu of flowers.
