Abner Bruce's
        Funeral Today

BRISTOW, Jan. 21—Services for Abner Bruce, 80, Bristow pioneer, will be in the First. Baptist church here at 2 pm Tuesday. He died Friday in a Sapulpa hospital.

Bruce was born in Kansas and came to this area 57 years ago. He served as county clerk of Creek county two terms and as county sheriff two terms. He resided in Oklahoma City a few years and served as a court bailiff and as a justice of the peace. He was a member of the First Baptist church.

Survivors are one son, Leo Bruce, Sapulpa; three brothers, Frank and Smith Bruce, Bristow, and Ray Bruce, La Junta, Colo., and two grandchildren.
