Contreras, 48 of Sapulpa, passed from this earth Friday, Oct. 7,
2005.
Terry was born March 31, 1957 in
Henryetta to Daniel and Shirley Contreras. He met the love of
his life Paula Murrow and they wed May 1, 1979 in Eureka
Springs, Ark. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary May
l.
Terry retired from Burlington Northern
Railroad after 30 years of service as an engineer. He became a
brakeman and engineer at the age of 18, which made him the
youngest person ever to obtain that position with the railroad.
Terry loved to play the guitar and do the outdoor cooking for
his family and friends for special occasions. He loved his
family and friends and he was devoted to them. Terry enjoyed
taking them to the lake for boating and fishing expeditions. He
loved anything to do with Harley Davidson. He was proud of being
a Contreras and of his Mexican heritage. He was proud of his
grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all his family and
friends.
Terry is survived by his loving wife
Paula, of the home; his children Chris Reed, of Tulsa, Anna Jo
Ferreria, of Beggs, Trudy Shaw, of Mount Hope, Kan., Tera
Paulette Contreras, of Tulsa, and Elisha Jesus Contreras, of
Sand Springs; grandchildren Debin Melton, Dakota Ferreria, Isaih
Contreras, Darius Contreras, Autumn Marie, Joseph Shaw, and
Jenna Shaw; his mother Shirley Wells; father Daniel Contreras
and step-mother Nadine Contreras; brother Ken Contreras, of
Sapulpa; and Jennifer Hayden, of Bristow.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday,
Oct. 11, 2005 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will
follow at the Green Hill
Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Funeral services will be under
the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
