Davis died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 at the St. Francis Hospital
at the age of 70.
Pete was born July 28, 1935 in Muskogee
and lived in the West Tulsa area most all of his life. He was a
member of the Calvary Tabernacle. He retired from Wal-Mart in
1998 but still maintained his automotive business at his place
of residence in the Carbondale area. He was an AA member and
maintained sobriety for the last 16 years.
Survivors are his wife Rachel of the
home; children Howard Lee Davis, Jr. of Tulsa, Richard Ernest
Davis of Tulsa, Lester William Davis of Tulsa and Leonard Leon
Davis of Glenpool; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;
brothers Willard Davis of Tulsa, Curtis Davis of Fort Worth,
Texas; and sisters Delphia Jean Scott of Kansas City, Kansas,
Dean Lee of Tulsa, Betty Honea of Muskogee and Barbara Robinson
of Tulsa.
Funeral Services for Pete have been set
for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005 in the Calvary Tabernacle with
the Rev. Valerie Robinson officiating. Internment will follow in
the Floral Haven Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers will be Nick
Henson, Harry Elpes, Philip Samples, Kelly Crane, James
Cunningham and Rick Taylor. Honorary bearers will be Travis
Davis, Brandon Davis, Chad Davis, Cody Davis, Kyle Henson. Smith
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
