Helen Parcell Eastep, age 80, of OKC, passed away October 12, 1994. She was born July 8, 1914 in Sapulpa , Ok. and came to OKC from Seminole, Ok. in 1930. She was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School and later received a BA Degree from Central State University and a Masters Degree from Oklahoma University. Mrs. Eastep was a school teacher in the OKC area for 37 years, having taught at Lee, Heronville and Stand Watie Elementary Schools. She was a life member of the O.E.A. and of the Okla. Retired Teachers Assoc. and member of the Okla. County Retired Teachers Assoc. She was an active member of Brookwood Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Duron D. Eastep; her parents , Burt and Callie Parcell; a brother, Forest; and sister, May Bailey.

She is survived by one niece, Mary Jo Hejduk of OKC; nephews, Burt Ed Bailey of OKC and John Bailey of North Newton, Ks.; great nephews, Gene Thompson of Edmond, Mike and Larry Thompson, both of OKC, Forrest Bailey, Pittsburg, Ks.; great nieces, Shannon Casidy of Overland Park, Ks., Heather Bailey of Washington, Callie Bailey of Newton, Ks.; 5 great-great nephews and nieces; and a brother-in-law, Harold Bailey. Services 2:00 p.m. Friday at the South Colonial Chapel.
