Robbers Kill Victim
Shamrock, Okla. Aug 25 - Two robbers
shot and killed Charles Hickman, 34, Sapulpa, near here last
night after they had kidnapped him as he was driving his
automobile to a Drumright street.
Mr. W. L. Hardin, 30, Drumright, who was
with Hickman, told officers he was shot when he refused to turn
over his car to the robbers.

SAPULPA. Feb. 2. — (JP) —Sebe Christian, county
attorney, said he had filed murder charges here Tuesday against
Robert Dunham, 20 years old. who was arrested Monday in Houston.
Texas, and now is enroute to Sapulpa,
The charges followed the fatal shooting last August of
Charles Hickman. 35 years old. of Sapulpa. who Christian said,
apparently was forced to drive to a lonely rural spot near
Shamrock by two armed robbers.
Christian said he was Informed by Houston officers that
Dunham had signed a statement implicating Buell Webb, now held
in the Missouri state prison pending trial in charges filed in
that state.
Dunham's arrest was brought about by the discovery, of a
letter to him from his mother. The letter was found in Hickman's
automobile.
A Mrs. W. L. Hardin, 30 years old. wife of an oil lease
worker, told police later that she was riding with Hickman in
Drumright and two armed men boarded the machine, forcing Hickman
to drive out of town. He was shot when he resisted robbery, she
said.
