Pioneer Lawyer Of
       Creek County Dead

SAPULPA. Oct. 10.—(AP)-E. B. Hughes, the first district judge to serve in the Creek county courthouse, from 1915 to 1919, died at his home here early Monday from an asthma attack.

Hughes, a pioneer Creek county lawyer, served one year as superintendent of the Sapulpa schools. In 1931 he resigned from the county excise board because of ill health.

The wife and five children survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon.
