Betty Katherine Holmes McGuire, died December 29, 1992 at Saint Anthony Hospital. She was born January 18, 1923, in Sapulpa , Oklahoma, to Lola Marie Harris and Joseph Robert Holmes. She spent most of her youth in Muskogee, Oklahoma where she graduated from Central High School in 1940 and from Muskogee Junior College in 1942. She attended the University of Oklahoma for her last two years of college, one year before she married Mack Aiken McGuire at Bockley Army Air Field in Denver, Colorado, and one year after he was sent overseas. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi and was a member of the Oklahoma City Alumna Club. She was also a member of P.E.O. Chapter DN, of Oklahoma City, and greatly enjoyed her affiliation with them. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Oklahoma City.

She is survived by her husband, Mack, of the home, and by her two children, Mack McGuire Jr. of McAllen, Texas, and Katherine Snare and her husband, Dan. She is also survived by a brother, Joseph Robert Holmes and hi s wife, Elizabeth Crim Holmes; a sister, Ann Williamson, of Scarsdale, New York and her husband, John; and stepmother, Lucy Olive Holmes. Her grandchildren are Corbyn McGuire and Kelly McGuire of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Haley Katherine Snare of Oklahoma City.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a gift be made to the Sister's Fund of St. Anthony Hospital, where she worked for many years, or to Westminster Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church Chapel.
