Sapulpa - March 8 (Special) A fortune in
valuable oil property and government bonds estimated to total
between $1,500,000 and $2,000,000 hangs in the balance as the
result of an odd twist in the wording of the will of the late J.
H. "Cal" Wright, pioneer capitalist of Sapulpa, who died here in
March 1928.
A review of the will shows that in the
paragraph Wright said: "And I give and bequeath to my wife, Rosa
B. Wright, the balance of my property both real and person to be
used by her so long as she lives and enjoys the same.
Contesting the phrase "so long as she
lives and enjoys the same." is Miss Minnie Pflierfer of
Fredonia, Kans., who claims to be the daughter of Cal Wright
born out of wedlock, but recognized under the state laws of
Kansas.
She has filed suit against Mrs. Wright
and is seeking to have herself adjudged the child of Wright and
heir of the estate, claiming that Mrs. Wright has been left the
fortune for life only.
