       Creek County Patriarch Dies

SAPULPA, Feb, 2 (UPI) William Luther Britt, a 108·year·old Creek County patriarch. died here Monday following a short illness.

Services are planned Wednesday for the prominent pioneer who came here in 1913 from Carroll County. GA. where he was born Oct. 22, 1850. He recently celebrated his birthday at a party with several hundred elderly folk from the surrounding area.

He had said he was in good health until recently.

Britt is survived by 24 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
