Aged Euchee Chief Is Dead at Sapulpa

Sapulpa Feb 20 (AP) Sam Brown, a chief of the Euchee Indians since 1867 and a captain in the Union forces during the Civil War died early Wednesday night at the home of his only surviving son, S. W. Brown.

The date of his birth was unknown even to him. Brown was at least 95 years old, calculating the basis of know dates of events in his life. His son said he probably was more than 100 years old.
