Fannie Lou
Delp Cross of Sapulpa died Tues. April 26, 2011, at St. John
Tulsa at the age of 82.
Fannie was born September 17, 1928 in Claremore to Bird and
Doshia Copeland Delp. She had lived in Sapulpa since 1947,
moving there from Claremore. She was a graduate of Sequoyah High
School.
Fannie worked at various locations in Sapulpa, including
Frankoma Pottery, Gibson’s Discount Store, and Creek County
Assessor’s office, from which she retired in 1990.
Fannie was a member of Sapulpa’s First Baptist Church since
1964, and taught Sunday School there for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Cora
McCollough, Golda Sellmeyer, Ruth Howard, and Helen Bell; and
three brothers, Bill Delp, Allen Delp and George Delp.
Survivors are her husband Don Cross of the home; daughter
Carolyn Burchett, and her husband Mike, of Springfield, Mo.;
sons, Gary Cross of Tulsa and Bruce Cross of Sapulpa;
granddaughter Cara Greninger, and husband Stacy, of Springfield,
Mo.; two great-granddaughters, Ella and Emery Greninger of
Springfield, Mo.; sisters Deloris Gable, Thelma Carriger, and
Patricia Gouard, all of Claremore; and several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 28,
2011 at Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral services have been set for
10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church of
Sapulpa with Pastor Doyle Pryor officiating. Interment will
immediately follow at
Green Hill Memorial Garden.
Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa is in charge of arrangements.
