Kellyville Man Shot
By His Wife Escapes
SAPULPA, May 31—(Special.)---Al.
though wounded 80.101041y in three places its a result of being
shot by 1115 wife, Mrs. Ethel Abner, Art E. Abner of Kellyville,
made his escape after he was said to have assaulted his wife
with a rock and making an unsuccessful attempt to take their
small child from her arms.
The Abners have been separated for
some time and are said to have had trouble several times over
the possession of the child. Mrs. Abner vas an rested following
the shooting -and charges of assault with a dangerous weapon
placed against her.
Police of surrounding cities have
been notified to arrest Abner. a warrant charging assault
with intent to kill and attempted abduction having been placed
against him.
Shortly after the shooting Mrs.
Abner was found by the officers from the sheriff's office in the
woods near the scene in a hysterical condition with the baby
clasped tightly in her arms. Site admitted the shooting of her
husband but claimed she shot in self defense only after she
purposely fired three shots wild to scare him.
