Mrs. Paul (Ann) Beck, 92, of Sapulpa died Tuesday, January 17, 2012. She has been a resident of Sapulpa since 1948.

Ann Beck, daughter of Clarence H. and Ruth Louise (Stevenson) Richeson was born on October 24, 1919, and raised in Cushing, Okla. She graduated from the Cushing High School and attended the University of Tulsa. She married Paul Beck on June 26, 1938.

She worked in Sapulpa for the Updike Advertising Co. for several years, the Lumac Tool & Mfg. Co. for 13 years as bookkeeper and receptionist and 18 years as secretary at Sapulpa Junior High for the School District 1-33, retiring in July 1985. She served as treasurer 18 years for the Creek County Retired Teachers Association.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church since 1952 where she served as assistant financial secretary and a Sunday School teacher for the 6th and 7th grades. She prepared Communion for the Chapel Service eight years. She was a deacon, elder and commissioner to the Eastern Oklahoma Presbytery. She was a life member of the Women’s Chamber, and received the Good Neighbor Award in 1992 and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi.

She is survived by her husband Paul M. Beck of the home; sister-in-law, Mrs. W. C. Laughlin of Lakewood, Wa.; three nephews, Paul and Bill Laughlin and Bryan Stickle; her extended family, Judy and Clyde Doyle and their daughter, Kami Ragsdale and husband Kyle of Virginia; Kim Gage and her husband Kirk of Tulsa, Okla.; twins, Korbin and Karl Gage and Khory and Kayden Ragsdale.

Memorial service will be at First Presbyterian Church Sapulpa, Okla. with the Reverend Wally Johnson officiating at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Presbyterian Memorial Fund.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
