Selma Bishop Berryhill, 89, of Sapulpa died Thursday at Glenpool
Health Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday at First
Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Nelsen officiating. Burial will
follow at South Heights
Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
She was born in Chelsea, Indian Territory, the daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. J. W. Bishop, on June 15, 1903. She attended Claremore
schools and Oklahoma A&M. Selma was a member of Chi Omega Sorority,
and active member of First Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter G,
Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce and the Salvation Army. She had
extensive interest in oil, real estate, auto and banking business.
She was a widow of Earle Berryhill, a member of a prominent
pioneer family.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. John (Sally) Bingman of
Sapulpa; son, Robert E. Berryhill of Del City; five grandchildren;
and eight great-grandchildren. The body will lie in state at Smith
Funeral Home prior to the service. The casket will be closed at the
service.
