Pamela Jean DunnPamela Jean Dunn, 54, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at her home in Sapulpa, Okla. after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born April 6, 1957 in Sapulpa to Bill Wade and Rosemary Wade Clark, Pam graduated from Sapulpa High in 1975 and attended business school. Pam’s work career included Riley Southwest, Standard Distributing, and finally, the Creek County Sheriff’s Office where, upon learning of Pam’s passing, Sheriff Steve Toliver commented that “she was my right hand”. Pam’s life passion was her family. She was a fixture at Sapulpa athletic events for the better part to two decades, watching her beloved sons compete.

Pam is preceded in death by her step-father Bill Clark, grandparents, Ralph and Iris Marshall, Homer and Margaret Wade, as well as her husband, Robert (Bo) Dunn.

She is survived by her mother, Rosemary Wade Clark, father, Bill Wade and his wife Marilyn; her sons, Jason, Travis, and Mikey Dunn, as well as her loving long time partner and companion, Steve Shepherd and his daughter Breanna. Pam is also survived by step-brothers Randy Clark (Karen), Arlington, Texas., Jack Clark, Sapulpa and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a huge extended group of family and friends.

The universal agreement among all of Pam’s survivors is what a picture of courage, grace, and sheer determination Pam had been as she fought her valiant seven-year battle with the disease that ultimately took her from us.

A celebration of Pam’s life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church, Sapulpa. Officiating will be Pastor Craig Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Creek County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.
