16-Year-Old Victim of Polio
Sapulpa - Aug 8—Funeral services for Robert Marvin
Lazier, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lazier, will be held at the First Baptist
church here Monday morning at 10:30. Rev. Alvin W. Hedin will officiate,
assisted by Rev. C. L. Devore of the First. Christian church.
Lazier died at St. John's hospital. Tulsa, Thursday from
bulbar polio.
Young Lazier was born at Trinidad, Colo., Feb. 3, 1933.
He finished the eighth grade last year and lettered in
the junior varsity football squad and was scheduled to leave for the annual
football camp on August 21.
Ho was active in basketball and softball. and was on the
First Baptist softball tram. Bob was a member of the First. Baptist Church
in which he took an active part
Survivors include his parents, a twin sister. Rosalie
Roberta of the home: grandparents. Mr. and Harry S. Lazier of Lyons. N. Y.: and
an aunt and uncle. Mr. and Mrs. John Hollingshad of Sapulpa.
Interment will be in
South Heights Cemetery.
