Gavinn William Mikles was called up to pitch for Heaven’s baseball team on Friday, April 1, 2011. His final days were spent with family, friends and others Gavinn had touched in his brief, yet beautiful stay.

Gavinn was born on July 30, 1999 to Tommy and Crystal Mikles. He spent most of his time being a good big brother and cousin, but also loved baseball, wrestling, and hunting. With his sense of humor and warm smile, there was never a dull moment. Rest assured that when our day comes, Gavinn will already know all of the ins and outs of Heaven, and will be waiting anxiously to show us around.

Gavinn is survived by his parents, Tommy and Crystal Mikles of Sapulpa, Okla; sister Kaitlyn Mikles; paternal grandparents John “Paw” and Vicki “Moe Moe” Mikles of Sapulpa; Uncle Ryan, Auntie Vanessa, and cousin Xander Heavener of Tulsa, Okla.; great-grandparents Dub and Norma Mikles of Sapulpa; and great-grandmother Velma Hughes of Kiefer, Okla.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Don and Jean Fain of Tulsa.

Service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa. Interment to follow at South Heights Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sapulpa Little League in honor of Gavinn.
