Rose McClain Barnett Raney, 77, passed from this life on
Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Lillie was born on June 27, 1934 in
Stigler, Oklahoma to Lester Lewis and Artie Lee Minnie Newcomb
McClain. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a
retired LPN.
Lillie is survived by her daughter
Evelyn Barnett Lynn and husband Billy; son John Raney;
grandchildren Melissa Raney and partner Dan Wright and Randy
Teague and partner Joyce Devin; brother Alfred McClain and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
Lillie is preceded by husband Oscar O.
Raney; parents Lester and Artie McClain; brothers Alex, Harvey,
Eugene and Johnny McClain and sister Ramoni McClain.
Services will be held Saturday, January
28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church located at
4th and Grand in Grove, Oklahoma with the Reverend Jim Pelley
officiating. Interment will be held Monday, January 30, 2012 at
11:00 a.m. at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson,
Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral
Home, Sapulpa, OK.
